Women’s Health Therapy in Chicago and Across Illinois
Emotional support through fertility, infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, hormonal changes, perimenopause, and menopause.
You deserve space for your experience, your relationships, and the changes you are navigating.
Care for the emotional side of women’s health.
Reproductive experiences and changes in your body can bring questions about identity, relationships, grief, intimacy, and what comes next. Your experience may feel hopeful, exhausting, uncertain, or different from what others expect.
Therapy offers a place to talk honestly, identify what you need, and build support around your goals. You do not need to be in crisis or have a diagnosis to reach out.
Fertility and infertility support
Family-building decisions and fertility challenges can involve uncertainty, waiting, difficult choices, and relationship stress. Counseling can provide emotional support while you navigate testing, treatment, setbacks, or a changing picture of your future.
- Stress and uncertainty while trying to conceive
- Coping with infertility and the demands of fertility treatment
- Grief, disappointment, pregnancy loss, or changes in family-building plans
- Communication with partners, loved ones, and your care team
- Boundaries around questions, expectations, and unsolicited advice
Our role is to support your emotional wellbeing and decision-making. Fertility assessment and medical treatment remain with your medical specialists.
Perinatal, pregnancy, and postpartum support
Pregnancy and the period after birth can bring emotional changes alongside new responsibilities. Therapy can support anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, adjustment, and changes in your sense of self or connection with others.
- Emotional preparation for parenthood
- Perinatal anxiety and depression
- Postpartum adjustment and feeling overwhelmed
- Identity, relationship, and intimacy changes
- Building support, communicating needs, and navigating expectations
You can seek care during pregnancy or after birth. Your therapist will work with you to understand your concerns and whether additional medical or psychiatric support is needed.
Hormonal changes, perimenopause, and menopause
Perimenopause and menopause can coincide with changes in mood, sleep, relationships, and how you feel in your body. These experiences also happen within the demands of work, caregiving, and everyday life.
- Anxiety, low mood, irritability, or feeling unlike yourself
- Coping with sleep disruption and changes in energy or concentration
- Body image, confidence, identity, and aging
- Changes in intimacy, desire, or relationship connection
- Stress, boundaries, and transitions at home or work
