Rebecca Gronceski, MA, LPC (she/her/hers) is a therapist whose primary goal is to accompany clients on their journeys toward wellness, growth, healing, and self-love. She received her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University and her bachelor’s in International Studies from Indiana University. She also completed training concerning cognitive therapies, transcultural counseling, and crisis intervention. Her studies and training promoted competence and passion for working with individuals experiencing loss and grief, trauma, OCD, ADHD, depression, anxiety, panic, identity exploration, life transitions, relationships, suicidality, and morph
Rebecca specializes in Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRB’s) such as Skin Picking (Excoriation Disorder) and Trichotillomania. Her natural style aligns with the person-centered approach. Additionally, she pulls from psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) frameworks as appropriate. She believes in exploring, not explaining, and provides clients with the agency to determine how they want sessions to look and feel. She has experienced mental health challenges, which inspired her to want to empower clients to be genuinely themselves. She brings authenticity, humor, transparency, and cultural humility to her work.
