Margaret Annunziata MA, LPC, CCATP, CSTIP, CCTP, CPT received her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Through her experience working with adults of all backgrounds, Margaret finds it integral to incorporate clients’ contexts into the therapeutic setting. Her passion is working with individuals and couples affected by depression, anxiety, panic, trauma, life transitions, societal concerns, interpersonal relationships, and grief. Margaret is a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) with advanced training in Applied Neuroscience for treating anxiety, panic and worry plus holds a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Certification (CCTP). She is also Gottman Level II, highly trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP) to treat couples in crisis, in need of help with communication, intimacy, infidelity and a variety of other interpersonal relationship concerns.
One of the main pillars of Margaret’s therapeutic approach is creating a non-judgmental, safe space for clients to develop a deeper understanding of their issues. She focuses her efforts on acceptance, genuineness, and positivity, emphasizing clients’ personal strengths and unique traits. As part of this therapeutic collaboration, Margaret provides psychoeducation to foster awareness and growth in clients’ journey to healing. She incorporates a variety of therapeutic tools and techniques that help clients evaluate their emotional patterns and states. Throughout the treatment process, she guides clients in identifying negative thoughts and behavioral patterns that are interfering with their happiness while helping them master coping skills to improve their quality of life. Above all, Margaret is a firm believer in the power of therapeutic relationships and their ability to foster growth.
