Elizabeth “Lizzy” Mengar, LCSW, is a compassionate, collaborative, and transparent clinician using a humanistic, strengths-focused approach to help clients access and build on what’s already working. She completed her BA at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and her MSW at the University of Illinois at Chicago, specializing in Organizational & Community Practice.
Lizzy works with anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity development, LGBTQIA+, trauma, and addictions. Treatment is person-centered and tailored using Psychodynamic Therapy, CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing, with early sessions focused on building a trusting relationship so vulnerable topics feel safe to explore.
