Allison Schacht

Allison Schacht (she/her/hers) MA, LPC, CADC, is a passionate and strengths-focused counselor with the primary goal of creating a safe space for progress as defined by the client. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Master’s degree in Forensic Mental Health Leadership, and Certification in Substance Abuse Counseling from Adler University, as well as her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Concentration in Queer Studies from Denison University.
Her areas of interest include anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, interpersonal issues, managing stress, life transitions, identity exploration, and those seeking therapy for the first time. Allison utilizes an integrative and collaborative approach when working with each client. While she believes there is no one-size-fits-all to therapy and each client deserves a personalized approach, Allison primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy in her practice, while emphasizing the importance of the therapeutic relationship and the client’s autonomy in their therapy journey.
