Zaraar Zahid MA, LPC, ASDCS, CCATP (he/him/his) has spent an extensive amount of time working with patients struggling with depression; stress; trauma; life transitions; social & generalized anxiety; neurodivergence (e.g., ADHD & Autism); family stressors; grief; relationship & intimacy issues; identity; and development of LGBTQIA+ identity. He is a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP).
As a person of color, Zaraar values diversity and honoring one’s identity in all its facets. This is why Zaraar encourages his clients to explore their identity in the safe, secure, and supported environment that he provides. He has experience working with clients of various backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ communities. Zaraar will help you foster confidence, courage, and compassion that will allow you to move forward with your life. During the therapeutic work, you will find a balance of skill, practical intervention, deep exploration, and genuine care (with some humor!). Together, you will identify negative internalized messages that may inhibit growth and begin to unlearn the limitations that you may be burdened with. Zaraar believes that although there is no “quick fix” for mental health, there is a safe space for you to be your most authentic self and begin to heal.
